Windows Sharing mode

Warning

For Windows network sharing settings, please set the ICS service to automatic, so that you do not need to manually set it again after rebooting

Set up Share Internet Connection in Windows

1-2 Select the Network & Internet option

In the Network Connections window, find the Ethernet Adapternetwork corresponding to the BlackLink MAC address.

Click Control Panel, double-click Network Connections and Local Area Connection.

  • Share an Internet/network connection from your PC to the blacklink device

Set Up Internet Connection Sharing as shown below. Click Control Panel, Network Connections and Local Area Connection.

Click Properties > Check the checkbox for ‘Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection’ > select Ethernet4.

Note

The name of the network interface will depend on what type of adapter you are using, the name ‘Ethernet4’ is an example of Blacklink.

1-4. Set ICS to Automatic Mode

ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) is a Windows service, the default is manual, it will be triggered to be running when 1-2 share

However, after rebooting, it will not be in running state, so after rebooting, the network cannot be shared with Blacklink. Please follow the steps below to change it to automatic

  • Setup Register

    Use Windows + R to open the execution window, fill in regedit , execute it

Add Register at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedAccess
  • Name: EnableRebootPersistConnection

  • Type: DWORD

  • Value: 1

  • Open Windows Service

    Use Windows + R to open the execution window, fill in services.msc , execute it

  • Find ICS in Services

    In the service window, find Internet Connection Sharing, click it twice to enter the setting window

  • Change settings to run automatically

    ICS is preset to be executed manually, please change it to automatic and click OK

Resetting your network back to DHCP

2-1. Select the Network & Internet option

Turn Off Internet Tethering, as shown below.

Select the Ethernet connection that you are using to connect to the Blacklink.

  • Click Properties > Sharing > Uncheck the box for ‘Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection’.

2-2. Please Unplug and Replug BlackLink

Unplug blacklink and replug blacklink, then restart blackey, you will get a new IP address.

Before launching the program on the PC, make sure the settings on the phone side are complete.

Hint

After successfully configuring the network properties, the device will remain in this DHCP connection until you manually set up to the sharing mode!
